About the event
Our 3 day dressage camp brings together 3 expert coaches for a bumper dressage learning experience!
The Monday kicks off with Denise, Advanced dressage rider and international biomechanics expert, delivering a lecture on rider biomechanics and the theory side of how you can gain a more stable and influential seat. There will then be a 40 minute shared lesson with Denise who will help you put some of these techniques into practice. In the afternoon, there will be a 30 minute private lesson with Grand Prix rider, Stef Eardley, with whom Denise trains and works very closely. Stef is then going to do a demo ride, whilst Denise looks at her biomechanics, explaining rider influence in the elite athlete. The approaches of these two coaches have lots of common ground, giving you the best of the two 'White Witches' Magic'!
Day two is test riding day with a morning theory session shared between Heather Clark, PSG rider and BD List 5 judge and Denise. Heather will talk through what the judge is looking for, how the marks are arrived at, common places rider's lose marks, and also how to interpret your sheet (feel free to bring some old sheets for her to look at with you). Denise will talk about the way of going, bringing some fresh ideas about how to think about improving this as it is the thread that runs through everything. There will then be hour slots for each rider to do a half hour warm up with Denise, and then run through a test of their choice in a half hour slot with Heather, who will judge the test and give suggestions for improvement.
The last Wednesday morning / early afternoon is given over to 40 minute private lessons with Denise, working on any element that you really want to nail before going home.
