3 Day Dressage Camp

3 days of dressage, learning and of course, lots of fun! The programme will be as follows - ,DAY 1 - Rider biomechanics - how changing your way of sitting can change your horse's way of going - am - theory session, and then ridden demo by Heather Clark (PSG rider and List 5 BD judge) and Denise O'Reilly, showing the changes biomechanics can make a difference all the way through training. After lunch, then we have private lessons with Denise lasting 45 minutes. In the evening we will have supper at the pub (course fee includes a main course) DAY 2 - Test riding day - Mini lecture with coffee and pastries, by Judge Heather Clark. This will really help you to understand how the judge arrives at a fair mark for a movement, and how to interpret your sheet (please bring a couple if you like for Heather to look over) Then we have demo, featuring Denise and Florence, focusing on Prelim / Novice level, with Heather doing live marking, and commentary. Denise can usually not resist the odd comedy moment, where we see the common mistakes that lower scores! After lunch, choose any 20 x 40 test, and ride through this twice, with Heather Judging, and giving you some help in between. Heather's lovely straightforward style will help you to focus on exactly how to improve your scores. This session is one- to- one and lasts 45 minutes. In the evening there will be a BBQ. DAY 3 - Improving your horse's core and suppleness - am, polework in small groups (45 minutes) Clare Atkins will show you exercises to build core strength in your horse, in a session that will be as fun as it is informative. Then a short demo with Denise on how to get more out of your schooling sessions. PM we will have pairs 45 minutes lessons to consolidate your camp with Denise, during which you will be able to set your goals. * SPECIAL DEAL* Anyone attending this camp will recieve 10% off ANY future private lessons with Denise (excepting Wednesdays) ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO NOVEMBER 30TH!! Costs include all lessons, tuition, demos and test riding. They also include a main course on the Monday evening at the local pub, and the BBQ on the Tuesday night. Your stable and an initial bed of either straw or shavings is also included, as is your hay. Please bring your own alchohol, packed lunches, and breakfasts. You may camp onsite in your lorry or pitch a tent, or we have a selection of hotels and B and B's locally. We have a fridge, microwave and a kettle, and all tea, coffee and biscuits are included. We are also taking £20 off the usual price of our camps - making this one only £295 with your own horse, or £395 with a TDS horse. Non refundable Deposit of £100 payable on booking, balance payable 14 days before the camp. No refunds at that point unless a replacement can be found.
